About Our Founder

Hello, I'm Heather Proft, and my passion for creativity started at a very young age. I learned to crochet from my Mexican grandmother, communicating through the art of crafting despite the language barrier. This sparked my desire to challenge myself and create anything and everything that inspired me.

I found my entrepreneurial spirit by participating in numerous school fundraisers, walking door to door selling doilies, and always taking advantage of every chance to create art, paving my way to where I am today. While it was easy to envision having my own business, the challenge was determining what I wanted to sell. I found that sticking to a specific craft felt limiting against the countless ideas swirling in my head at all times. That's how Unpredictable Crafts LLC came to be, born from my limitless "I can make that" mindset.

My aim is to create art pieces that bring joy to others as a treat for themselves or as gift to someone special. I am eager to start collaborating with my customers and gaining insight into what it takes to be a successful artist. I hope to attract those who appreciate handmade items and to inspire the creatives for years to come.
